DISCUSSION ON APPLICATIONS OF AGRICULTURAL LAND CLASSIFICATION IN COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLANNING

Abstract

The process and productions of agricultural land classification in China are introduced in this paper,such as the temperature(climate) productivity potential of the specified crop(α),physical land quality grade(R),land use degree grade(Y) and economic level grade(G).Based on these outcomes,applications of productions of agricultural land classification is discussed in comprehensive land use planning,such as analyzing land use status,forecasting demand of cultivated land,evaluating land suitability,regulating land use structure and distribution,and planning prime farmland protection.
