Abstract

Stomach wall samples from 12 Chinese roe deer (Capreolus capreolus bedfordi THOMAS 1908)were measured and the surface enlargement factor of their absorptive ruminal mucosa was calculated. The results were compared with similar roe deer investigation results from Germany aud Poland. The results show a comparative trend and indicate nutritional status and habitat forage quality.
