Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the advantages of 64-row computed tomography subtraction CT angiography in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms,and to evaluate the subtraction CT angiography technique in following up the patients with clipped aneurysms.Methods:30 patients who suffered from Subarachnoid hemorrhage underwent CT examination;the CTA and subtraction CT angiography techniques were used to evaluate the cerebral arteries,respectively.Two senior neurosurgical and radiological doctors reviewed both types of the reconstructive results independently.30 consecutive patients with clipped aneurysms were studied with the aid of postoperative MSCT and techniques were used to evaluate the cerebral arteries, respectively.Two senior neurosurgical and radiological doctors reviewed both types of the reconstructive results independently.30 consecutive patients with clipped aneurysms were studied with the aid of postoperative MSCT and DS angiographies.Results:The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy for detecting aneurysms on CTA were both 100%and 100%respectively;The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy for detecting neck remnants on Subtraction CT angiography were 85.6%,100%and 96.7%,respectively; while sensitivity,specificity and accuracy for evaluating vessel potency were all 100%.Conclusion:Subtraction CT angiography technique have markable advantage in detecting the aneurysm of processus clinoideus anterior of internai carotid.It is an accurate noninvasive tool used for assessment of clipped aneurysms as well.
