Thinking to Promote Progress and Innovation in Science and Technology to Enhance the Forestry Development Level in Shanxi Province

Based on comprehensive analysis of present situation and full affirmation of science and technology to forestry development and identification of the existing problems and difficulties of forestry in Shanxi,the paper reviews the position and function of forestry science and technology in view of modern forestry and thinking about direction,aim focus and guarantee measures for growth of forestry in Shanxi has been introduced.Three-Positionand Four-Functionof forestry science and technology that should be brought into full play at present and in near future have been put forward.In order to provide powerful scientific and technologic support for sound and fast development forestry in forestry,progress and innovation of forestry science and technology should be further promoted by extending Ten Practical Technologies,making great effort to research Ten key Technologies and implementingFive Science and Technology projects.
