Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of mosapride combined with doxepin in functional dyspepsia. Methods 127 patients with functional dyspepsia were randomly divided into experimental (n=64) and control (n=63) group.Patients took mosapride 5 mg/d Tid 30 minutes before meals and doxepin 12.5 mg/d before sleep, and the controls only took orally mosapride for 8 weeks. The efficacy was assessed before treatment and at the ends of 1st ,2nd ,4th and 8th week during treatment. Results At the ends of the 1st and 8th week, total efficacy rates were 39.06% and 82.81% in the experimental group, and 19.04% and 36.50% of the control group respectively. The difference was statistically significant. Conclusions Combination of mosapride and doxepin has satisfactory efficacy in functional dyspepsia.
