Abstract
The mechanical properties of carbon black(HAF,grade N330)filled powdered NR[P(NR/N330)]vulcanizates were studied. The results showed that the content of the emulsifier, carbon black, carbon black modifier and encapsulant, and the Tg of encapsulant affect greatly the mechanical properties of P(NR/N330) vulcanizates, which under suitable powdering conditions are comparable to those of bale NR/N330 vulcanizates prepared by conventional mechanical mixing. The analysis on SEM showed that the carbon black particles have good boundary adhesion with the rubber matrix as the content of the encapsulant is 15 phr,at this content, the encapsulant and N330 could form the feasible granularity in the NR matrix, and form the co-penetrate structure, which contribute to the better mechanical properties of P(NR/N330).
