Abstract

Based on Ansys11-CFD software,the current flowing around double horizontal marine risers and vertical marine risers were simulated.In order to make the simulation results more accurate,the o-grid generation method was used for the grid refinement of the risers.Lift coefficient and drag coefficient variations of the risers were analyzed,in the case of horizontal arrangement pattern and vertical arrangement pattern.Lift coefficient and drag coefficient of single riser and double riser with different arrangement patterns were compared.Comparison result showed that there is clear difference between flexible case and constant boundary case,which is more suitable with the actual situation.
