Abstract

In this paper, requirements and evaluation criteria for candidate algorithms of Advanced Encryption Standard are introduced. The characteristics and comparisons of the finalist candidate algorithms are analyzed in details. At last, we specially analyze Rijndael algorithm that is selected by National Institute of Standards and Technology to propose for the AES.
