Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of kangnaoye on brain-containing water content,Cerebral Infarction Volume and neurvous function in rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods:The model of focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion was made by thread embolism method.120 healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:sham-operated group, model group,high-dose kangnaoye group(28.6g/kg·d),middle-dose kangnaoye group(14.3g/kg·d)and low-dose kangnaoye group(7.15g/kg·d).The neural function on the rat's reviving was observed and reobserved 24h after reperfusion.Infarction volume was detected by triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC)staining 24h after reperfusion, and brain water content was detected at different time points(1d,3d and 7d after reperfusion). Results:Compared with that of model group,in Kangnaoye treatment groups the cerebral infarct volume decreased obviously, brain moisture content reduced distinctly and the neurobehavioral scores improved visibly(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion:Kangnaoye can protect the neurocyties of rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, reduce cerebral edema and alleviate nerve damage.
