Abstract
A pilot-scale constructed wetland was built in Futian Shenzhen to study the effects of distance and mangrove species on nitrification and denitrification in the surface substrate(0-5cm).The results showed that nitrification and denitrification could be conducted at the same time in mangrove constructed wetlands,nitrification and denitrification in the belt of A.corniculatum was significantly higher than that of the other two belts.With far distances from the inlet,nitrification and denitrification decreased significantly except in S.caseolaris belt.Correlation analyse showed that nitrification and denitrification were significantly positively correlated with salinity and conductivity.Organic matter,pH and the number of nitrobacteria and denitrobacteria could also affect nitrification and denitrification,but the correlation was not significant.
