Evaluation of sodium nitroprusside treatment in elderly patients with severe hypertension

ObjectiveTo investigate the treatment of elderly patients with severe hypertension and principles.Methods 65 cases of hypertensive crisis of 2011 June to 2012 December were treated were retrospectively analyzed.Results 65 cases of patients with rapid and stable buck, control of convulsion and prevent the rescue treatment of brain edema, hypertension crisis were relieved, without serious complications, no death case, good curative effect.ConclusionElderly patients with severe hypertension is common in department of internal medicine in emergency, rapid and stable blood pressure and other measures can reduce the mortality and disability rate, achieve good prognosis.
