Abstract
T he leaf structure charact eristics of 11 virescence tree species in green belts of Shenyang thermal power plant, and the accumulating capacity of air pollutants(Cl,F,S,Pb,Cr and Hg)in leaves of different tree species were researched. The relationship between leaf area and stucture of leaf stoma of these pollutants were also discussed. The results showed that the highest contents were measured of Cl-in the leaves of Ailanthus altissima, F-in Ulmus pumila, S in Salix babylonica. The highest accumulations of Pb in the leaves of Populus alba, Cr in Salix babylonica, Hg in Rhus typhina. The correlation analysis results showed that the leaf area and stomatal density had significant correlation. Cl-had significant positive correlation with Pb and Cr, negative correlation with Hg. Stoma had negative correlation with S and Hg. The air pollutants content of comparison in leaves of different virescence tree species and comprehensive measurement of adsorption of strong capability tree species were: Populus albaAilanthus altissima Ginkgo biloba Forsythia suspensaRhus typhina Ulmus pumila Salix babylonicaAcer monoSyringa reticulataSophora japonica, Robinia pseudoacacia.
