Mythology is the cradle of world literature.Compared with Greek mythology,Chinese mythology is not so systematic or rich in content.Greek mythology advocates individualism and hedonism, while Chinese mythology speaks for utility and rationalism.Through a comparative study of both mythologies, the paper attempts to explore the philosophical spirits under their primal ways of thinking.
