Abstract

By extending light guide plate of liquid crystal display backlight module for 5 mm forward,we designed a light expanding area.When LED light source passed this area,twice light expansion was obtained.So that the LED spot light source can be transfered to line light source of CCFL approximately. A 3-inched liquid crystal display panel was simulated.The result shows that the light output uniformity of the light guide plate is over 85%.
