Abstract
The Mo content in 202 middle tobacco leaf samples from tobacco-planting areas of Nanping city was analyzed during 2007-2009,the results showed that the mean value of Mo content was 0.56 mg/kg for these samples. There was a huge difference in Mo content among the tobacco leaves of different tobacco-planting areas. The results of field tests showed that spraying 0.2% ammonium molybdate at flue-cured tobacco resettling stage or applying 7.5 kg/hm2 ammonium molybdate as base fertilizer could increase the yield of flue-cured tobacco by 2.3%-3.6%,enhance the production value by 1068.9-2353.2 yuan/hm2,raise the proportion of superior tobacco leaves by 1.0-6.7 percent, and also improve the quality of flue-cured tobacco leaves.
