Abstract
The response characteristic of light diffuse reflectance by a tissue optical model with two-layered structure to the optical properties of inner layer was studied. The influences of the changing absorption coefficient and the scattering coefficient of the inner layer on the light diffuse reflectance from the surface was investigated and analyzed. It was found that the results of Monte Carlo simulation were in good agreement with our experimental results. It is shown that the diffuse reflectance light was sensitive greatly to the micro-change of optical properties (absorption coefficient and scattering coefficient) of the inner layer which had small value of optical properties. We believe that the results will be useful for the development of determination the optical parameters of bio-tissue in vivo.
