Research on the Characteristics and Progress of Ethnic Village Tourism in China

In order to promote the research of ethnic village tourism,and service the practice of ethnic villages,this study focuses on the research summary about the ethnic village tourism.Based on the statistic analysis of the literature and national fund project related to ethnic village tourism,we find the research of ethnic village tourism has several characteristics.They are:the study of ethnic village tourism has started late,the number of literature and national fund project is rare,the ability of researcher is weak,the distribution of researcher and study case are concentrated on the typical areas,etc;Based on the content analysis of ethnic village tourism research,we formed several views:First,the research themes of ethnic village tourism are focused on the basic theory,tourists,residents of ethnic village,tourism product,and tourism effect;Second,the research of ethnic village tourism is still in the initial stage of applied research,and the current research still has many problems,such as:the research perspective is microscopic,the qualitative research is the widely-used methods,and the research system has not been perfect;Last,the research in the future should pay more attention to the basic theories of ethnic village tourism,use comprehensive research methods including qualitative and quantitative to comparative study the ethnic village with more regions,multi-nations,multi-stages,and focuses on the unique issues of ethnic village tourism.
