Abstract
A method was established for the determination of phthalate plasticizers in packaging materials by ultrasonic extraction-capillary gas chromatography. The pre-treatment method of the samples and the chromatographic conditions for the analysis were critically examined. The best results were obtained using XC-1 silica capillary column(15 m×0.25 mm×0.33 μm) and toluene as extraction solvent. The optimal extraction conditions were with toluene for 30 min with 180 W ultrasonic treatment. The recovery rates were between 96.05% and 105.1% and the relative standard deviations(RSD) were 0.370 0% to 5.750%(n=3).The detection limit ranged from 0.1000 to 100.0 mg/L.The method is simple, rapid and sensitive.
