Abstract
Medicinal herb rhymes describe the appearance and properties of the medicinal herbs and their effect in curing diseases, keeping fit and prolonging life. Medicinal herb rhymes originate from the Northern and Southern Dynasties and were perfected during the Tang Dynasty. After the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, they covered a larger number of medicinal herbs and their style became simple and natural. The medicinal herb rhyme is the perfect combination between classical poems and Chinese herbs, with both cognition effect and artistic values.
