Abstract
Along with the Chinese-American literature and African-American literature,Jewish-American literature constitutes part of American literature.In both the Jewish and American contexts,Jewish writers drew on the Jewish history and created a Jewish-American literature with its own features,contributing considerably to the American literature.During the past two thousand years of exile and the long existence under other nations' control,the Jews suffered a lot.Therefore,it is inevible that suffering,wandering and assimilation have become the distinct themes of Jewish-American literature.
