Abstract

Ethernet Passive Optical Network(EPON) is considered to be the best way of resolving the current network access.This paper first introduces the concept of PON and EPON,and then introduces the basic structure and the major advantages of EPON,the working principle of EPON,and the key technical issues of EPON which need to be resolved.
