Abstract

TOEFL Listening Comprehension aims at testing not only candidates linguistic competence but their pragmatic competence. This paper attempts to study the infiltration of pragmatic theories into TOEFL listening comprehension, hoping its instructive to the design of listening comprehesion test and to listening comprehension teaching or learning.
