Abstract
An equation of state is obtained for determining volume expansion with temperature along isobars for NaCl crystal up to a temperature of 1050K and for MgO up to a temperature of 1800K.The results obtained from the equation agree closely with the data based on experimental studies for the temperature dependence of thermal expansion at zero pressure.
