Abstract
Adaptability and comparison experiments were carried out with 21 varieties of 6 forage species introduced from America. Festuca arundinacea and Agropyron cristatum were found to have relatively high total hay yields, within which the Festuca arundinacea variety Kajun had the highest. The total hay yield of alfalfa was at the middle level, within which the variety WL323 had the highest. The lowest yield was shown by Bromus inermis. Festuca arundinacea, Agropyron cristatum and Medicago sativa have good adaptability and extension value in Beijing and surrounding areas.
