Abstract

Nanocapsules loaded with 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu) were prepared by interfacial polymerization, with _α_-butylcyanoacrylate being chosen as carrier. The nanocapsules were uniformly spherical and the average diameter was 232 nm(_n_=300) as seen by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The drug loading of the 5-Fu nanocapsules was 30% as tested by ultraviolet spectroscopy(UV). The behavior of drug release in vitro indicate that nanocapsules bake on sustained-release character.
