A Brief Discussion on Witness Narrative Tradition of Contemporary Fiction

Witness literature refers to a kind of literature that witnesses for history.Contemporary writers wrote about the with conscious and sustained efforts through novels during more than three decades after this movement.With writing such a rich variety of novels from a number of levels and angles,the writers tried to show trauma and hurt caused by the to our society and individuals.What's more,these works witness the social landscape and human landscape of that extreme age.Theoretically and practically speaking,they indeed played important roles as witnesses.And they also established a historical tradition of witness narrative.In this paper,we analyzed the witnessing function of Cultural Revolution narrative,how to witness the history,its significance and so on.
