Abstract
Based on the investigatation from pure forests and their mixed forests of Chinese fir and Phyllostachys heterocycla cv. Pubescens with different mixed density, the biomass of canopy and vegetation layer under canopy and litter layer, water holding capacity of soil and percolation in those forests were analyzed. The results showed that the mixed forest with \{1 800\} individuals Chinese fir per hectare made the best use of nutrient space, which had the highest productivity and highest water conservation function.
