Abstract
Objective: To optimize the extraction process for Ephedrine in Zhike pingchuan Tangjiang. Methods The orthogonal test was employed to determine the effects of the four factors including the concentration of NaOH solutions, quantity of NaOH solutions, quantity of NaCl,the cubage of the distillate. Results The optimal process was obtained as follows: the sample was distilled with 100ml NaOH(3mol/L) and 15g NaCl.The cubage of the distillate is 95ml.Conclusion The optimal process is high efficiency, convenient, accurate, stable and could be used to assay the Ephedrine in Zhike pingchuan Tangjiang.
