Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Frenkel training on the function rehabilitation after stroke. Methods Sixty patients with proprioception disturbance after stroke were randomly divided into the treatment group and observation group,Two groups were treated with routine rehabilitation measures, but the treatment group were given Frenkel training in addition to the regular treatment. They were evaluated with Fugl-Meyer motor assessment scale and sensory assessment scale for the function, and with Barthel-index(MBI) for activities of daily living(ADL) before and after treatment. Results FMA and MBI scores of patients in two groups were increased significantly(P0.01) after treatment. But scores of patients of the treatment group were higher than that of observation group(P0.05).Conclusion The proprioception disturbance significantly affects the rehabilitation effect, and the sensory practice can improve the sensory function, motor function and activities of daily living(ADL).
