The Method and Characteristics of Specialized Garden Construction in Guilin Botanical Garden

This paper introduces how to construct or reform the specialized gardens in Guilin Botanic Garden,such as the Curious Plant Garden,the Sweet Osmanthus Garden,the Yellow Camellia Garden,the Rare and Endangered Plant Garden,the Cycad and Palm Section and the Gymnosperm Section,etc.The measures are as follows:try to keep the original terrain and plants;introduce aim plants from the wild or other botanic gardens or arboreta;choose subordinate plants and their planting sites in accordance with the whole garden's landscape and their habitat;build infrastructure such as paths,landscape architecture,ponds,etc;set up public education equipment such as show windows,brief introduction brands,plant labels,etc.Such gardens are quite scientific and diverse in the sources,collection,cultivation and layout of plants and landscape construction.
