Abstract

For the distributed database systems,query processing becomes more difficult because of distribution and redundance of data.Comparing the distributed database system with the centralized database system on query processing, the paper introduces the objectives of query optimization in distributed database system,some strategies and technologies and presents a generic method for optimization of distributed query.
