Abstract
Romantic dramas occupy a considerable proportion in the Selected Dramas of Yuan Dynasty edited by Zang Maoxun.According to the different roles of the characters,these dramas can be classified into three groups: the ones about the gifted intellectuals and beautiful ladies,the ones about the intellectuals and geishas and the ones about mortals and genies.These dramas manifest the editor's dramatic view of emotionalism,which is shown in the following ideas: advocating faithful and pure love;satirizing the hypocrites,proposing the freedom and free will of marriage;praising the bold and faithful pursuit of love and considering emotionalism's priority over morality.
