Abstract
The accuracy of angle and range estimation of acoustic localization method based on four-element sensor array is influenced by target azimuth angle. However, the five-element array based acoustic method do not has this weakness. In this paper, the target localization method based on five-element acoustic array is investigated, the localization equations are derived, followed by the performance analyses. The research results are helpful for the acoustic array system design in the practical applications.
