Abstract

China and India,two most populous developing countries in the world,have relatively abundant labor resources and comparative advantages in labor-intensive products exports.In addition,these two countries occupy an important position in the world textile and clothing market.In the field of textile and clothing trade,India has relatively large impact on China.Textile industry,due to the employment and foreign exchange earning through exports,has become the oldest and most important Indian sector.As China continuously improved the cost of production factors and accelerated RMB appreciation,the domestic textile industry has highlighted the growing pressure of international competition.Therefore,the paper chooses to study the Indian textile industry for their successful model to enhance the competitiveness of China′s textile industry.
