Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ursodeoxycholic acid in the treatment of Infantile cholestasis.Methods:A total of 62 patients with Infantile cholestasis were divided into the UDCA treatment group and the common hepatoprotective control group.Improvement of symptom signs and hepatic biochemical indicator were compared before and after the treatment,and the factors affecting the therapeutic responses of the UDCA were further analyzed by comparing the suboptimal biochemical responders with the good biochemical responders.Simultaneously,the adverse reaction was also observed.Results:There were 6 excellent,21 effective,and 3 ineffective in UDCA group,with a total effective rate of 90.0 %.There were 7 excellent,19 effective,and 6 ineffective in control group,with a total effective rate of 81.3 %.UDCA could significantly improve liver biochemistry.The decreases on total bilirubin,conjugated bilirubin and γ-glutamyl transferase in the treatment group were much higher than those in the control group(P0.05).The side effect of two groups was mild in the whole process of treatment.Conclusion:Compared with conventional therapy,combined therapy with UDCA is more effective in improving the symptom and liver function of patients with cholestasis hepatic diseases,and UDCA has no evident side effect in such patients.Patients with obvious symptoms,marked abnormal liver tests and abnormal metabolism may have a suboptimal biochemical response to ursodeoxycholic acid treatment.
