A Study of Zhong Rong's Literary Conception and His Aesthetic Ideal on Poems from the Perspective of "The Preface of Shi Pin"

As the first works about the theory of poems of Qi-Liang Period in China, Shi Pin written by Zhong Rong has complex thoughts and deep meanings by seaking its origin deeply from Liu Yi. Because of this, Shi Pin and Wen Xin Diao Long written by Liu Xie are regarded as a pair of stars twinkling in the literary criticism history of Six Dynasties. The theories about poem's occurrence, essence, creation and aesthetic feeling reflected by its preface have taken great effect on later generations. It has important and deep influence on the theory of Chinese literature, especially on the development of theory of poems.
