Abstract
Seismic damage investigations of precast concrete structures indicated that precast concrete structures possessed desirable seismic performances when subjected to strong earthquakes, especially as true for precast concrete shear wall systems. However, applications of such system cannot meet the needs of industrialized buildings due to many influencing factors.Development of precast concrete shear wall systems and researches on them are summarized and influencing factors of restraining the application of such system are presented based on the features of such system and further researches as well as solutions are pointed out so as to widen the application of precast shear wall systems.
