Abstract
Al2O3+13wt.%TiO2 ceramic coatings is prepared by the compound technique combined plasma spraying and laser remelting on the surface of titanium alloy(TC4).The effects of laser remelting on the microstructure, microhardness and bonding strength of ceramic coatings are researched. The results show that lamellar stacking structure formed by plasma spraying have been almost eliminated after the laser remelting and the uniform close virgulate structure is formed on the surface of coating and the porosity in coating is reduced largely.According to measuring results, the bonding strength of coatings after laser remelting is nearly twice that of the plasma spraying,
