Abstract

The demand response in electricity markets is presented,including its concept,classification,cost and benefits.The short and long period market benefits of the demand response are analyzed respectively,as well as the system reliability benefits.Applications of the demand response abroad are recommended,and suggestions on its implementation in china are proposed.
