Abstract
The turbidite fan and front sand in the third segment of the Tertiary Shahejie Formation in Xin 154 survey area are favorable regions both structurally and lithologically for hydrocarbon concentration. To characterize the subtle reservoir in the third segment of Shahejie Formation, we firstly improved the resolution of the target and recovered the true amplitude of seismic data by poststack data processing techniques. Multi-well-constrained seismic inversion was then implemented on the data. And finally, comprehensive quantitative characterization of the turbidite fan and front sand were carried out on logging, structural interpretation, and core data.
