Abstract

[Objective]To learn the puberty growth of female students in Shahekou and provide scientific basis for the hygienic health care for the girl students. [Methods]Probability unit regression method was used to find out the menstruation menarche ages of half of the girl students; 182 girl students who had menstruation menarche between the age of 10 and 13 were collected and compared with those who had close birthdays with them (within 1 month) but had no menstruation menarche; their height, weight, chest measurement, sight and dental caries were collected.[Results]The menstruation menarche among the girl students aged from 9 to 18 in 1991 and 2002 were 12.637 years old and 12.326 years old respectively; the height, weight and chest measurement of the menstruation menarche girls were all higher than that of the non-menstruation menarche girls, the difference was significant; the rate of dental caries among the menstruation menarche girls was lower than that of the non-menstruation menarche. [Conclusion] The menstruation menarche age had an advancing trend in the recent 12 years; the growth of the menstruation menarche girls is better than that of the non-menstruation menarche girls; dental hygienic situation is an important point for the puberty growth of female students.
