Abstract

The test specimen B- 2 in reference [1],which was the connection between RC frame beam with floor and energy dissipation link, was simulated and verified through nonlinear finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The specimen B-2 was also regarded as the base model, and a series of models were designed considering the structural glue, steel strength of steel shaft, the layout of steel shaft, and the diameter of steel shaft. Then the effects on the connection performance of these main design parameters were analyzed, and the strength, stiffness degradation and hysteretic behavior also were studied. Some design suggestions were proposed, which could provide some references for design.
