Introduction of the National Parks and Nature Reserves in Nepal

Nepal,with an area of 147 000 square kilometers,has assigned 11.3% of its land within eight national parks, five wildlife protection areas,and one nature reserve zone.During the process of developing and protecting the nature for many years,the integrated national park and natural protection area system is gradually established in Nepal.The national scenic areas of China are identified by the State Council,and are largely equivalent to national parks of foreign countries and have their own historical and cultural depth.Learning from the experiences and practices of other countries will enable Chinas natural protection to develop belier.The status and construction experience of the national parks and nature reserves system of Nepal are introduced in this paper and useful lessons are summed up, and some suggestions for the building of national scenic sites in China are proposed.
