EFFICACY OF FIBRIN GLUE COMBINED WITH OMEPRAZOLE FOR THE TREATMENT OF DUODENAL ULCER WITH ACTIVE BLEEDING

[Objective]To investigate the efficacy of endoscopic spraying of fibrin glue combined with intravenous injection of omeprazole for the treatment of duodenal ulcer with active bleeding.[Methods]77 cases of duodenal ulcer with active bleeding whom were treated in our hospital from February 2003 to November 2009 were randomly divided into study group with 39 cases and control group with 38 cases.Patients in study group received endoscopic spraying of fibrin glue combined with intravenous injection of omeprazole,but in control group,the patients only received the treatment of intravenous injection with omeprazole,then the efficacy of the two groups were compared.[Results]The total effective rate of study group was 94.9% and it was significantly better than the control group,the difference between groups was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).There were no significant complications occurred in the course of treatment of both groups.[Conclusion]Efficacy of endoscopic spraying of fibrin glue combined with intravenous injection of omeprazole for the treatment of duodenal ulcer with active bleeding is obvious,it has no obvious side effects and is worthy of clinical application.
