Abstract
The essence of interaction of seepage field and stress field in fissure rockmass is analyzed, permeate volume strength and permeate pressure and their effects on stress field are also presented. The stress distribution influenced by the seepage field, the seepage distribution influenced by the stress field, and the uncoupled distribution of both stress field and seepage field are computed by means of numeric simulation method with FEM.It can be shown by an engineering illustration that the values of all stress components under the dam foundation increase due to the seepage, deteriorating the stabilization of the dam.
