Abstract
Thin film solar cell is a new way to resolve the environmental crisis and energy crisis.The advantages and shortcomings of thin film solar cell are stated,the research status and the latest development of thin film solar cells including amorphous silicon thin film solar cells,polycrystalline silicon thin film solar cells and microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cells.Comparing and summaring their oneself features in the materials,photoelectric transform efficiency,technology,price and cost,etc.Finally,the research direction and development trend of the thin film solar cells are proposed.
