Abstract
A method has been developed for the determination of impurities(Pb,Cr,Nb,V,As,Hg,Se,Cd,Ni,Sb,Ce,Co,Si,Zn,Al,Fe,Mn and P) in titanium dioxide by ICP-MS. After titanium dioxide was completely dissolved by H_(2)SO_(4 )and (NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4), the internal elements ~(45)Sc,~(115)In and ~(204)Tl were added, and internal standard calibration method was used for determination. The effect caused by titanium sulfate matrix and spectral interference of titanium was discussed. The detection limits were in the range of (0.03)~12.0 ng/mL with the relative standard deviation of 1.4%~12.5%. The recoveries for spiking samples were 92.0%~103%. The proposed method has been applied to the analysis of titanium dioxide with satisfactory results.
