Abstract

Objective To study the curative effect of the improved operation-anterior lamellar reposition with complete lid split for the treatment of non-entropion trichiasis. Methods 23 cases with 32 eyes were operated using the new method because of the trichiasis, the eyelid position in all the eyes was normal before operation. After operation, the eyelid and eyelash position were observed, aesthetics aspect was also evaluated. Results During 4~12 months following-up, the trichiasis in all cases was corrected, lid margin was paralleled to the globe, the former complications in all cases were disappeared. Conclusion The improved operation-anterior lamellar reposition with complete lid split is an effective new method for the treatment of non-entropion trichiasis.
