Analysis on93cases of oral salivary gland tumor

Objective To analyse the clinical and pashological characterstics of oral salivary gland tumor.Methods A retrospective analysis on93cases of salivary gland tumor from1985～1997with a confirmed pathologic diagnosis was carried out.Results In93cases of salivary gland tumor.63cases were benign(68%),30cases malignant (32%).In malignant cases,the five-year survival rate was76.7%Con clusion Preoperative puncture histology and during-operative pathological examination have great value in diagnosing and treating.The first radical operations is the key to prevention of recurrence of salivary gland tumor,and post-operative radiotherapy can reduce the rate of the recurrence.
