Abstract

The authors introduced cloud computing into data backup area,designed and implemented a hadoop distributed file system(HDFS) based data backup system,which meets users' needs of data backup/restore by applying existed cheap computers to setting up a data backup cluster.By means of the strategies of deviding users into groups,of packaging and uploading small files and of restoring first,the system's performance is enhanced.HDFS based data backup system designed in this paper has the strengths in security,expansibility,economy,and reliability.
